IP cameras are the standard today

For most homes, 4–5 MP is sufficient, while 4K (8 MP) provides detail for larger objects and entrances. Also look for Smart Dual Light and good night vision – these are often more important than pure megapixels.

Cameras with AI that distinguish between humans and vehicles drastically reduce unnecessary notifications. For outdoor use, you should choose models with IP67 rating and preferably deterrent light/sound alarms.
